PSALM 46
CONFIDENCE AND COMFORT IN THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD

If God is our fortress we can have ...
1) Confidence in our failures.
(Your bad things will turn out for Good)
Genesis 50:19–21 ... "But Joseph said to them, “Do not
fear, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant
evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it
about that many people should be kept alive, as they are
today. So do not fear; I will provide for you and your little
ones.” Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them."
2) Confidence in our circumstances.
(Your good things can never be taken away.)
Romans 8:38–39 ... "For I am sure that neither death nor
life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to
come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else
in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of
God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
3) Confidence in our future.
(The best things are yet to come.)
Psalm 46:5 ... "God is in the midst of her; she shall not be
moved; God will help her when morning dawns."
